The Maple Leaf Junior Tour (MJT) – www.maplejt.com Tournament registration opens on January 7th and 2025 Player Memberships are now available (MJT memberships are required to attend MJT tournaments). Some tournaments fill up very quickly, so we encourage parents to ensure their players are registered early (memberships are currently discounted until January 2025)

Our academy is proud to support a diverse group of golfers, ranging from highly experienced tournament players to those just beginning their competitive journey. We understand that each player will approach this year’s tournament season differently, based on their unique goals and skill levels. Our priority is to work closely with every academy member to create a personalized plan that aligns with their individual needs and aspirations. Together, we’ll ensure the season is both enjoyable and productive for everyone!

Spence Matson, Head Coach of MGA, will be attending the following tournaments to provide coaching and guidance to our players during their tournament experience:

• MJT Paradise Canyon Season Opener – Lethbridge (April 26–27)

• Alberta Golf U17 Championship – Alberta Springs Golf Course, Red Deer (August 18–19)

• MJT 3-Day Major Championships – McKenzie Meadows (July 14–16)

Chris Howes will also be present at these events to offer additional support to our players, ensuring they have the assistance they need both on and off the course. In addition to these tournaments, Chris will be available throughout the season to support players at other events as needed. We look forward to helping our athletes succeed in these competitive opportunities!

A note regarding tournaments:

Participation in tournaments is not mandatory but is encouraged. We believe that competing together as a team not only enhances the tournament experience but also helps build stronger bonds among teammates. These shared experiences foster camaraderie, mutual support, and a sense of unity that translate into improved performance on and off the course. Ultimately, we see tournaments as an opportunity for our players to grow as individuals and as golfers, striving to be their best while representing the academy.

As we move into 2025, we are excited to introduce individual lessons as a new offering for our students! These lessons can be booked directly with Coach Spence, and the academy membership will remain $175 per month for development and $225 for advanced, with the option to add on lessons. Lessons will be available on any day and time to fit your schedule.

During the outdoor season, lessons will take place at Paradise Canyon, and during the indoor season, they will be held at our indoor training facility. For added flexibility, all lesson packages purchased will be valid for an entire year. For example, if you buy a package in February, you’ll still be able to use it in August. We’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to further support your development and help you reach your golfing goals!

We are excited to announce that we’re working on making academy gear available before the Paradise Canyon Season Opener! This includes branded golf bags and clothing to help our players represent the academy with pride. While purchasing academy gear is not mandatory, it will be an option for those interested. We expect to have pricing finalized by early January and will share more details as soon as they are available. We look forward to seeing our players showcase their academy spirit on and off the course!

We’re excited to invite everyone to our Christmas Party on Thursday, December 21st, at Evergreen from 1:00 to 3:00 PM! While attendance is not mandatory, we’d love to see as many of you there as possible to celebrate the holiday season together.
