The Academy after a hard fought 2nd Day on the Course!

The 2025 season is officially underway, and what a start it has been for Matson Junior Golf Academy! This past weekend, our talented athletes took to the course at the beautiful Paradise Canyon Golf Resort in Lethbridge, Alberta for the MJT FCG Worlds Qualifier presented by Forge Golf Academy.

Under gorgeous, hot, and sunny conditions on Day 1, and battling through cold, cloudy, and windy conditions on Day 2, our players demonstrated incredible resilience, focus, and determination — a true testament to their hard work and dedication.

A special congratulations goes out to Tristan Howes, who has earned an invitation to compete at the prestigious MJT Alberta Invitational at Stewart Creek Golf and Country Club on June 8th after his 4th-place finish in the Juvenile Division!

As our first tournament of the year, we couldn’t be prouder of how our academy showed up, supported each other, and delivered outstanding performances across the board. This event was an important stepping stone for all of our athletes as they continue to work toward their goals this season.

The Academy pumped for a beautiful day 1!

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Maple Leaf Junior Tour (MJT) (www.maplejt.com) for organizing such a professional and memorable event, and to Paradise Canyon Golf Resort for providing such an exceptional course and atmosphere.

This is just the beginning — we are excited for what’s ahead in 2025!

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to support and celebrate the achievements of our amazing golfers.
