At just 13 years old, Spencer Forsyth is already carving out an impressive path in junior golf. Starting his golfing journey at age seven, Spencer has shown a passion for the game and a commitment to excellence that has taken him across some of Canada’s most iconic courses and tournaments.

Spencer’s love for golf began at Evergreen Golf Centre, where he trained with Cara Vanderham and Marcus Menegehetti. Later, he honed his skills under the guidance of Evan Webber, shaping the strong foundation that would support his growth in the sport. This September, Spencer joined Matson’s Junior Golf Academy, where he’s taking his game to the next level with hard work and determination.

Tournament Highlights and Achievements

At just eight years old, Spencer earned the prestigious Gord Laurie Junior Golf Scholarship from Evergreen Golf Centre, a testament to his potential at a young age.

Spencer competed in the U13 division in 2023 of the Mclennon Ross Jr. Tour, winning the low gross at Henderson Lake and low net at Desert Blume GC. He continued his success in 2024 in the U15 division, capturing the low net at Henderson Lake.

Spencer competed on the MJT Mini Tour in 2022 and 2023 (U13) and the MJT Junior Tour in 2024 (U15). In 2023, he played in a CJGA event at McCall Lake Golf Course, winning the U13 Boys division.

A standout moment came in 2024 when Spencer ranked among the top four 12-13-year-old boys for the Golf Canada Junior Skills Challenge qualifiers. At the National Event in Mississauga, Ontario, he placed third and later secured a match-play victory at the Boys 12-13 Junior Open at Lionhead Golf Club.
